The Nightmare
I am standing on a boardwalk. Before me is a tropical beach, with white sands and distant azure waters. Behind me are faceless wooden structures I presume are the boardwalk’s buildings.
My swim team is getting ready to swim in the water, joking around, pulling on caps and goggles. Some of them have to swim, it’s their practice time. I’m one of the swimmers that don’t have...
